Different Vaporizers Types

Vaporizers have many varieties. We can categorize them on the basis of plant material used, heating technique used, manual or electronic etc. All have their own different qualities and their working techniques. Some use very small heating sources and others are electronically heated for more extraction. Earlier vaporizers were home made using raw technology of burning the plant material to extract vapors but modern vaporizers are loaded with many options like temperature control, filters, balloons and more over medically approved material is used to make the vaporizers which is safe for health and is strong enough to with stand heat and pressure built inside the vaporizers. In home made vaporizers bulbs, rubber tubes and spirit lamps were used that had negligible cost but with the advent of technology vaporizers also come with different gadgets, resulting in increase in cost to many folds. One of the major drawbacks in the old vaporizers was that the once vapors produced needed to be consumed at the same time as there was no option to store them, but modern vaporizers are equipped with balloons which can store the mist or vapors for future use. These air tight balloons are made from food grade plastic and vapors stored in them can be inhaled at any time after production.

As the plant material or herbs were directly heated for vapor generation, many harmful gases were also produced along the vapors that had ill health effects but the modern vaporizers throw a stream of hot air on the herb for vaporization. Vapors produced from this process are safe form harmful gases as the plant material is heated indirectly and not burned. When we burn any substance smoke is produced instead of vapors that are produced on heating the product. Smoke contains many unwanted gases which are produced on burning of outer shell of the plant, as on heating only vapors are produced from the core. Home made vaporizes used a metal plate on which the plant extracts were placed for heating it had its own drawbacks like more energy needed to heat the herbs as high heating temperature of metal is heated first and then the plant material is heated moreover when all the material is used the metal plate is still remains hot resulting in wastage of energy. Some herbs react with metals and the vapors produced can be toxic. Metal plate needs more care while using, if heated more can damage the vaporizer. Earlier rubber tubes were used for inhaling the vapors, the same tube was used repeatedly causing in deposition of smoke particles inside the tube. Theses depositions were cause of many health problems and frequently changing of tubes was not possible.
